On behalf of our local Salem, Ohio service industry owners and employees we thank you for your generous support. Stay well and we will get through this together. We look forward to seeing you all in Salem, Ohio soon.

Due to the unknown nature of the states current policies on 1099 and Self-Employed workers, the Salem Tip Jar has been organized to support those workers in our area that are hit by these circumstances the hardest. These establishments and places of employment have been closed to protect the spread of covid-19 and their employees are currently ineligible for available economic relief.

Many of us would regularly be patronizing bars, salons, restaurants, and other businesses that have been ordered closed. Even if you are socially isolating, you can help to support our local service industry staff. Consider sending a “tip” to your favorite bartender, server, stylist, aesthetician. We are developing a directory of local business with a “quick link” so that you can leave them a tip directly. All monies go directly to that business/individual. No money is collected by SalemTipJar.com.
